Kayak Rental Kiosks
Unattended KAYAK Kiosks
There is a locker system that houses the PPE and paddles, and then a racksystem for the kayaks and/or paddle boards.
The customer agrees to all the liability waivers on the touch screen, selects the type of watercraft they want (currently single or double kayaks or Paddle boards), selects how many hours they want to rent it for, and then swipes their credit card.
The door to their PPE opens and the watercraft unlocks and away they go!
To return the equipment, the customer swipes the same card and the machine matches the last 4 numbers and re-opens/unlocks their spaces and they return everything.
The machine tells them if they have not closed the locker door or locked in the kayak properly and then computes how long they have had them out and up-charges if necessary.
NOTE: Kayak Kiosks are producing greater than 100% ROI (Return on Investment) in one season.
The machine is programmed so that it will not vend between the hours of dusk and dawn to comply with safe boating regulations.
This is all steel construction and very sturdy and the feet have holes to either bolt into asphalt or cement or we send along rebar with bolts welded on one end so you can pound them into the ground if on dirt. We have solar and AC unit or you can switch back and forth.
It is modular, so you can get lockers and racks for 4, 8 or 12 (you can buy a 4 and then if too small, just add another set to the original and easily change the size on the owners page of the customer interface). Additionally, we can add a remote system so you can take control of the machine…open doors, manually return or troubleshoot.
We recommend a max of 12 so there are not people waiting to rent and return and then putting another unit near by
All the customer has to do is call your customer service line and you help them out quickly and efficiently.
Pricing
This is a modular system. The pricing is as follows:
4 places – $7,100
Add on 4 place – $4,000
8 places – $10,500
12 places – $13,100
*Remote Operation – $900
You can add a remote system so you can take control of the machine to open doors, manually return equipment or troubleshoot. Sometimes people accidentally shut the doors before they get all their gear out, or after returning, leave their car keys and/or wallet in the lockers. To combat this we added a secondary router so that the owner/operator can remotely take control of the machines from their computer or smart phone and reopen lockers, unlock kayaks or manually return forgotten items. All the customer has to do is call your customer service line and you help them out quickly and efficiently.
